4 Ways You Can Treat Your Doggo with Koda & Co.'s Mutt Butter

To celebrate the launch of our all-new 100% natural and dog-friendly peanut butter, we’re sharing four drool-worthy ways you can use Koda & Co’s Mutt Butter to treat your beloved fur babies!

Koda’s Kookies

There’s nothing like homemade cookies baked by your furmom. Try this simple recipe from Koda & Co. SHEeo Shane Velasco. It’s Koda approved!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup warm or hot water
  • ½  cup olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp of Mutt Butter
  • 1 tbsp of alcohol free vanilla (optional)
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • ½  cup oatmeal
  • ½  cup cornmeal (optional)

Recipe

  1. First, soften 3 tablespoons of Koda & Co.’s Mutt Butter with ½ cup of warm or hot water and ½ cup of olive oil in a bowl.
  2. Add 2 eggs and you may add in 1 tablespoon of alcohol-free vanilla to the bowl but this is totally optional. Then, mix it all together.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix your dry ingredients. Mix 2 cups of wheat flour with ½ cup of oatmeal. You may also add ½ cup of cornmeal but this again, is optional too!
  4. Mix your wet and dry ingredients well. Once everything is mixed, roll the cookie dough into a ball. To make the dough less sticky, dust it with some flour.
  5. Refrigerate your dough for 30 minutes.
  6. With a rolling pin, roll out your cookie dough on a cookie sheet.
  7. Once your dough is rolled out evenly, take out your cookie cutter and cut out the cookies. Plus points if your cookie cutter makes a fun shape like a bone or a heart.
    1. Tip #1: Dust your cookie cutters with flour to prevent the dough from sticking to your cookie cutter.
    2. Tip #2: Don’t discard the spare dough. Cut them out into odd bits and pieces and bake them with your cookie cutouts. Your doggo’s wouldn’t really mind if their treats are in a weird shape.
  8. With a spatula, transfer your cutouts onto a cookie sheet and space them at least 1 inch apart.
  9. Bake your cookies for 20 minutes at 90 degrees celsius
  10. Once they’re baked, let your cookies cool before letting your dog nibble on Koda’s Kookies!

Lick Mat + Mutt Butter

Koda & Co. swears by Lick Mats! Lick mats are proven to calm and soothe your pet because the licking sensation releases endorphins. As famous furmom, Elle Woods,  once said, “Endorphins make you happy!” Lick mats also promote slower eating which can reduce bloating and improve digestion. They can also alleviate stress and anxiety for your dogs especially when they’re suffering from separation anxiety, when they’re nervous about going to the vet, or when they need a distraction from injections, bath time, and nail clipping.

What You’ll Need

  • Koda & Co.’s Mutt Butter
  • Koda & Co. Lick Mat

How To

  1. Smear a nice layer of Koda & Co.’s Mutt Butter onto the Koda & Co. Lick Mat.
  2. If you’re pupper is using a Lick Mat for the first time, make sure that you’re there to guide them.
  3. Stick the lick mat on the wall or keep it on the floor. Either way, this is the part where you let your dog lick, lick, lick away!

Koda & Co.’s Mutt Butter is made with 100% locally farmed real roasted peanuts. It’s dog-friendly because no artificial sweeteners and preservatives were used. Most importantly it’s xylitol-free! Koda & Co.’s Mutt Butter comes in two yummy sizes: 340g if you wanna try it out and 500g to go all out! Koda suggests the latter. Hence, the belly.
